Lexi Rankin is the owner and operator of Rank Equine. She’s a barrel racing champion and she wears the buckle proudly.
Lexi qualified for the BBR World Finals in Oklahoma City in 2021 and competes in UPRA rodeos. On May 7, 2021, at the UPRA rodeo in Eastland, Texas, she made the final 15 and ran on national television against Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi — then a 15-time NFR qualifier.
Much of that was aboard RRRFlingMeADream, the fast, talented gray gelding many people know as Rocky. Lexi regularly enters against NFR riders to keep her skills growing — and every horse and rider she trains benefits from that edge.
She’s also the trainer young riders remember. Lexi loves working with girls who are just learning about horses and barrel racing, and she brings the same patience and honesty to a first lesson that she brings to a finished horse.

Rank Equine sits on 110 acres between Perrin and Jacksboro, Texas. We breed and train high-quality performance horses, and we offer boarding for people who want a place to ride, train and spend real time with their horses.
Whether you’re starting out with a brand-new horse or you need a place for many horses, we want to be that place for you. The ranch is expanding every season, and it’s a private ranch — visits are by appointment.
